A friend called. She was certain we were all “going down” because of Covid-19 a.k.a. Coronavirus. I mentioned the wonderful Italians, singing in the night from their apartments, as one unified choir of growing voices. They made a chain of voices linking with each other. Where hands couldn’t touch, the hearts made the connections. That so inspired me in the triumphant nature of the human spirit….when given lemons, make lemonade. Fortunately, my friend relaxed into the beauty of that story.
I had the thought that this time of isolation may well be a magnificent time for rest, pondering, the creation of great art — music, writing, painting, etc. That people whose normal workdays keep them from setting their creative juices free will have time to do whatever they desire. I’m excited at the rambunctious potential that is becoming available to more and more people.
So, I am doing what I do these days. Reading, petting the cat, enjoying my sister and brother-in-law, photography, healing, and walking outdoors. (We live on major bird migration flight path and I see numerous different birds daily). Life goes on.
Ah, the collective conscious gets the gift of a period of deep rest and rejuvenation. I pray for the strength and resiliency of those who become infected. And I am grateful for all that is.
